If you feel good, and hold onto that feeling, the chances are you will continue to feel good.
OK, lets put it another way.
You watch the news and its chock full of grief, war, famine, death. You think about a really unhappy time in your life and it makes you sad. You listen to melancholy, depressing music and you end up sitting in a zombified stupor, with zero incentive to motivate yourself.
Turn it on its head.
Comedy is on the TV and you are crying with laughter. You are joking about the time you went to work in your slippers and your new boss requested an audience. You have some cracking happy tunes filling your ears, with a big fat ”Yay!” feeling, and you want to dance right there and then!
You can see a pattern happening here, no?
Now, really, really think about the two scenarios and read them again. Did you read one slowly and the other one seem to make your eyes gallop across the page? How did each one make you feel? Well, either I didn’t get the point across properly or I am in my own happy delusional dimension.
To quantify, when you see, hear or experience something negative it does not feel good. By switching off to the negative, and filling your thoughts with something you do like, will in essence lift your spirits, your vibration, your energy and your mood. Life is of course all about choices. You can of course choose to allow negative things into your life – but what good does it do really? Would you not rather choose the positive and be happy?
Whatever positives you want in your of life; whether it be more money, to be physically fit, more confidence, to study and learn more, to be successful in your home and work life, you can attract it much quicker if you feel that is what you will do and emit positive vibes.
When you think about what you want, you know you want it because you believe it will make you happy. Take a look at these two statements:
“I wish I had more money”
“I want money”
The first is kind of wistful, day-dreamy and lacks drive, enthusiasm and raw emotion. Wishing for something may in fact put it further out of your reach, out of your life and it becomes as fanciful as the Philosophers Stone.
On the other hand statement two is more direct. It is clear and describes exactly what you want without the need of additional, unnecessary wording. You can really pour power and feeling into the statement and by doing so you are sending out your positive energy, your positive vibration.
As what you want will make you happy the emotion driving your wanting is happiness. So if you have not reached your goal, your want, the next step is to bring your vibration in line with the feeling you have, when you visualize getting what you want right now. If you feel happy now your vibration is tuned in to receive, as happiness creates happiness.
By being happy right now you lift your vibration and your positive emotions. By consistently feeling good and feeling positive you will bring in your desires much, much faster than if your emotions are on rollercoaster mode. Feel good and get what you want – simple.
Agreed, there are trails and tribulations in life, but by diluting the negative emotions, worry anxiety, fear, stress etc. you will: a) Cope better b) Feel better and c) Deal with them better.
So start feeling good and get what you want right now by doing one or more of the following, every single day.
- Listen to positive, fun, upbeat music.
- Watch your favourite comedy shows.
- Watch your favourite feel good movies.
- Get outside. Go to the park and sit on a park bench or take a trip to your favourite beauty spot.
- Do something silly. E.g. Tell a joke, find a funny clip. dance in the street - to make you and your friends laugh.
- Write down all the things you are thankful for right now.
- Find things that you just love or renew your appreciations for the things you have now. Really feel how you feel when you love your car, your house, perhaps you have seen a must have pair of shoes.
- Exercise. It helps you feel better, gives you energy and helps you sleep better. It does not have to be strenuous – a nice gentle stroll will suffice.
- Eat and drink well. Food and water gives you energy and feeds your grey matter.
- Be spontaneously nice to someone. It will make you feel happy seeing them happy.
- Have a “spring” clean. Clear out your cupboards, drawers, the fridge, sort your clothes and have a good old-fashioned house clean.
- Create and go through your want list. Feel and visualise yourself having your want list and make plans to accommodate your new life.
- Pamper yourself. Soak in the bath for two hours. Have a salon treatment.
- Set aside 1 hour a day. Stop rushing around and take a time out – just for you, no interruptions.
- Listen, watch or read something motivating. YouTube has a plethora of motivational free talks and you can find lots of really good motivational articles on the world-wide-web
- Smells lift your mood. Scented candles, essential oils and incense in your favourite smells will make you feel good, relaxed, warm and happy.
- Air your space. Open the windows and oxygenate your environment and your lungs.
- Have a 10-15 minute power nap. It’s amazing how recharged you can feel in just 10 minutes.
- Buy something you like. It doesn’t need to be expensive. Online shopping is great as anticipate and look forward to receiving your order.
- Write down all the things you do that makes you feel happy. Creating a list will motivate you to do other things and only add to raising your vibration.
By thinking about doing the things you love and by actually doing the things you love you will feel good. By feeling good and raising your spirits and your vibration, you will attract more good things into your life and you will get more of what you want.
So here’s to feeling good, to raising your vibration, and ultimately realising your wants.
- Attracting the Law of Attraction (psychicjeff.wordpress.com)
“It is not a secret clandestine fellowship. It does not pick and choose. It does not discriminate against any race or creed. The Law of Attraction is truly universal. The only prerequisite is that you are open to, and embrace, all the wonders of this magical universe.”
~ Holistic Words
If it were not for The Secret, I would not have found the teachings of Abraham-Hicks or exciting scientific research that has afforded me a better understanding, of the universe we live in and the Law of Attraction.
So for that, I am grateful.
However, after watching this post on YouTube, it got me thinking about the integrity of The Secret. The question that popped into my head was; is The Secret the ultimate repeat sale product?
Having worked within a marketing capacity, as a PR copywriter, I see The Secret as a successfully marketed, self-help process. In addition, the very act of labeling it a “secret” is marketing genius in itself.
I have listened to many Abraham-Hicks, who really hone in on the whole point to life and how, by changing the way we think, we can really make the best of our time here, to really live the life we want. But I feel The Secret is not actually divulging the real and full story. It seems to be holding back on sharing the entire process, and in essence, drip feeding the information in an orchestrated fashion.
Nevertheless, who am I to judge? They are all singing off the same hymn sheet, and I for one support the biggest and the best and the sole trader.
Ester & Jerry Hick have themselves become very successful. However, I believe Ester and Abraham portray a classier, kinder, a more loving and real story. Strange choice of word, classier, I think the word I am really looking for here is sincere.
I can share my thoughts on the different Law of Attraction styles, but ultimately it is your choice, on which attraction process you works best for you, as they all essentially lead to what your heart desires.

I don’t mean what is the point to life, in the sense of; why should I get up in the er, ahem, morning or why I should have a bath and get dressed for the day.
What I mean is: How do I become a better person? How can I be different? How can I make a difference? And how can I take my journey to the next level?
Don’t panic! I’m not having a midlife crisis or anything, I think I’ve had one of those already! But there has to be a moment where you……….pull it out of the bag, push the envelope, stop procrastinating, ditch the “but” word and free yourself from yourself.
My unfounded limitations, as a human being, has not extinguished my inner fire, oh no, I just need a kick up the butt so it can become a blazing, all-encompassing inferno! Maybe I am not quite ready for world domination, just yet, but a small slither will do nicely thank you.
I have dreams, I have ideas, I have things I want to do before I leave this three-dimensional universe. However, in my mind, I have now created an emotive sense of urgency for them all. My issue is that I want everything right now, and whatever it is needs to keep me interested or……”Meh. Bored now”
My God, does any of this make any sense? (And queue my hysterical, erratic laughter, in need of immediate psychiatric evaluation)
OK, lets quantify said ambiguity.
Perceived Limitation + Limited Belief = Limited Productivity.
Good. Now that’s done, I need to figure out what is going on in my head, so it can come out in some coherent manner.
I don’t want all these “urgencies” for some self satisfying, self gratifying, selfishness. My “purpose” is about doing something that matters for others, getting them from A to B – not me. Yes, in doing so I will of course gain; but the gain will be on a spiritual, perhaps even on a soul level. It’s about learning and growing, about feeling good, feeling that I can add a different twist on things.
Trouble is, when I do put down my whys and wherefores, it always sounds blumin’ self-serving.
I do believe in the law of attraction, but I believe in it as a way of life, a belief to life by, a religion even. I think the teachings of the collective -Abraham-Hicks - are not really about getting what you want, on a material level. It is about living your life free of worry, free of stress, free of feeling responsible for everything you have no control over.
The book F*** it! says (over and over again) f*** it! and that is what it is all about; f*** it!
Wow, I feel really rather naughty now!
Even if you do not believe in the concept of the Law of Attraction, the philosophy is all empowering. It teaches us to let go of control, de-stress, enjoy life more and to live in the “now”.
So that’s what I am going to do, just as soon as I have re-read, re-affirmed and re-digested my own medicine. I am going to plug myself into some L.O.A feel good vibes, and ditch questioning the meaning of life……………..well, for a while anyway.
Ooooooo! Just had an email from my child persons’ school, requesting my presence, to come in and talk about my travels.
Well, now there’s a thing!
What if the thing holding you back from experiencing optimal wellness and well-being is your belief that you don’t have it?
“Wait a minute,” you might say. “I don’t have those things. How can I believe anything other than the fact that I don’t have optimal wellness or well-being?”
And there is the problem.
Most people approach life with the expectation that they will “believe it when they see it.” They want hard facts, statistics, and reality to back them up.
We now live in a “buy it now” world and Christmas and birthdays are no longer special, exclusive present days.
The bank account overdraft, credit card, loan, re-mortgage and store card gives us the opportunity to buy now, pay later, instead of saving, waiting and anticipating.
Lets say you buy a brand new, super intergalactic, high-speed laptop - that even does the washing-up – on credit. The laptop is the best thing……….since your last laptop, and it does some amazing space age, futuristic stuff and is, quite frankly, the mutts nuts! Within one month the credit statement arrives and you now have to part with your hard-earned cash. And wallop! You are no longer in that happy place, the appreciation fades, and the reality of having to pay for said supersonic marvel brings you slap back down to earth. Feels kind of disappointing doesn’t it?
Two years ago I ran the Reading Half Marathon. I would not have been able to run in the event without training, training and more training. I was soo proud I had run, without stopping or walking, the whole course. I knew I could do it and I did not want to let myself down. I appreciated my training, I appreciated my progress, I appreciated getting fit, I appreciated being in the event, I appreciated finishing. Yes I was in pain after the event, my legs felt as if they were never going to work again, however I was happy. But it is a past event. That situation, that moment, that elation will slowly fade out of my “feel good bubble.”
Both scenarios can make you feel good, at that specific moment in time, but over time that feeling dissipates, it wanes and eventually it becomes a distant memory. Like eating a good hearty breakfast, first thing in the morning. By lunch time your tummy is rumbling and is crying out for some attention, some love……..a nice roast with all the trimmings, a creamy mushroom risotto complete with freshly grated parmesan or a New York deli style pastrami on rye. Topped off with a Sicilian lemon cheesecake, Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey ice-cream or perhaps a wedge of Death by Chocolate? But wait! It’s dinner time already!………….off we go again!
Just like our stomachs, our “feel good factor” also requires our attention, and needs feeding at regular intervals.
In terms of the Law of Attraction, feeling appreciation and being grateful and thankful every single day allows you to raise your vibration. Reaching for the emotion of appreciation and gratitude every day makes you feel soo much better about yourself and the world around you.
Think about the coffee you drink? How far it has come? The people who have picked, carried, roasted, packed, shipped, stacked, sold, bagged? The milk you put into your coffee? The grass, the fields, the cow, the farmer, the milking machines, the tanker, the packer, the distributor, the supermarket? And so on.
Do you think about those things? Are you grateful for all those things? Is it a given that coffee and milk will be available to you? It is soo easy to take things for granted as, in the case of a cup of coffee, it is always on the shelves or in the coffee-house and we do not really give it a second thought.
Deciding to be more grateful, including the little things in life, is something that requires regular practice and the more you focus on appreciation, the quicker you can align yourself and connect to the principles of the Law of Attraction.
So on that note, I have a challenge for you. For the next 15 days, at the end of each day, write down a minimum of 10 things you are grateful for.
Note why you are grateful for each and every one and really feel why you are grateful.
It may be physical, emotional or material things such as:
- Your home
- Your family
- The food you have eaten
- The people you have met
- Your job
- The transport you have used
- The weather
- A discount on your shopping bill
- A phone call
- The coins in your pocket
- A TV programme
- Your health
- Your senses
The list is endless and you can add anything and everything that has made you smile, allowed you to function and has sustained you throughout the day.
When you wake up in the morning make sure the very first thing you do is to re-read your list and really feel the words, which will get you ready to face your day.
To receive you must firstly give – unconditionally. And by being truly grateful for what you have can the Law of Attraction match your positive signal, by bringing you more positive things and experiences into your life.
This concept, and the Law of Attraction, is simply explained in this quote from Oprah Winfrey; the ultimate high-profile champion of the Law of Attraction.
“I started out giving thanks for small things, and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased. That’s because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it. Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be grateful no matter what happened in my life.”
- Oprah Winfrey
If you do decide you are ready to accept - and welcome – gratitude into your life, and you follow the 15 day challenge, you will find yourself more relaxed, more at peace and more happier. You will want to continue with your contentment and you will start to think of far more than ten things you are grateful for every day. I would also be honoured, if you do choose to do the challenge, if you would like to share your experiences as it would be really interesting and insightful to learn different thoughts and feelings on the process.
You are giving yourself the positive tools to receive the positive life that you deserve. x
Here is a great two-part video on Ester Hicks, channelling Abraham, talking to a guy who wants to win the lottery jackpot. Although it does relate to winning the lottery, the message rings true for anything you wish to attract into your life – using the Law of Attraction.
I have never seen a channelled message flow as freely. It is energetic, fun, motivational, inspiring, uplifting and really gets you in the zone.

Unfortunately, just saying that you want something doesn’t make it happen. You can send out a newsletter or put your site online and expect sales, just like I used to – only to find that nothing happens.
You might be saying – isn’t that action? Isn’t putting your ideas online, promoting them and doing these simple things what creating a business or manifesting money all about?
The answer is yes, but also – it’s not enough………………………….”
