Restriction Oracle Card

I use The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards: A 52-Card Deck and Guidebook by Colette Baron-Reid, to provide a thought for the week. The information below is not the text-book version of the cards’ meaning, but my own summary and interpretation of the cards significance.

Restriction

The Sacred Journey Markers

Cold and steely are the prison bars, that we surround ourselves and our minds with. With ever escalating thoughts of frustration, anger and resentment. But these bars are born out of our own fears and the restrictions we place on ourselves.

The negative voice inside us rises and grows ever more powerful, as we feed it further. However, it is all an illusion. An illusion we have created and its trickery can be revealed if only we would take a step back and remove ourselves from the prison we have created.

Now is not the time to take action. It is a time to take stock and reassess situations, problems and issues in our lives. It is time to reflect rather than make rash decisions, based on charged destructive emotions. A New Moon helps ease tensions slightly, as it prompts for a fresh start and sweeping away of old, out moded beliefs, that do not serve well.

If you can, find the time to be alone in order to find peace and rationale, with your thoughts and inner most feelings. And when you are through this current “battle” you will be able to move on with a much clearer vision, of where you want to be and what you want to do going forward.

All in all, bide your time, have patience and ride out the storm.

There will be a silver lined cloud waiting for you on the other side.

  1. I made my own tarot deck a couple years ago, I should post a couple pics sometime. Lately I’ve been doing readings for myself and it’s amazing how accurate they can be.

  2. Just wanted to let you know I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Bloggers Award.
