The Water Faery Oracle Card

I use The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards: A 52-Card Deck and Guidebook by Colette Baron-Reid, to provide a thought for the week. The information below is not the text-book version of the cards’ meaning, but my own summary and interpretation of the cards significance.

Just like the tide, our feelings and emotions can ebb and flow.

One day you may be happy and joyful, the next you may be sad and melancholy.

This is a natural trait of our human existence; experiencing different levels of emotions, light and shade, and all manner of contrast in-between.

Your emotion is, in general, born from the situations and circumstances that surround you, and how you perceive or react to what is happening in your life.

Imagine you are in a rowing boat, in the middle of a lake.

The water is calm, the sun is shining, it is a beautiful day, and you decide to drop the oars and go with the flow. How does it make you feel? Are you calm and relaxed without a care in the world? Are you at peace with yourself, your life and the beauty that surrounds you?

Imagine you are in the same rowing boat, in the middle of the same lake.

This time the wind in howling, the boat is violently tipping from side to side, torrential rain is filling up the boat, you are in danger of sinking and you are wet and very cold. How does it make you feel? Are you panicking? Can you see no way out? Are you scared you may never make it back to shore? Will anyone come to your rescue?

Being in touch and understanding your emotions is of course a valuable asset. But so is the action you take, and the reaction you convey internally and externally to the world.

The Water Faery is there to wash away your sad emotions - thus uplifting and surround you in an abundant sea of happiness.

You are placed on this earth to experience the art of manifestation; for you to bring all the things you love into your life. Just allow the flow of your desires to come to you naturally. There is no need for forced action here.

Remember; waves will always roll onto the sea-shore, without assistance. It is a naturally occurring process, that just happens.

It is time for you to make that promise; to not let negative situations drown your spirit.

Quite simply: You deserve to be happy.

Your job is to allow yourself to be happy which, in turn, will allow positive experiences to flood into your life.
